KEVIN'S KORNER

Kevin likes to cook. His dream is to one day own and operate a small Bistro/cafe on a corner. Hence Kevin's Corner. He also likes to eat his creations! : )'

I have given him a little direction on healthy foods and he wants to create and make some different recipes. Most of what he makes is easy and quick.

Apples?
Yeah they're the perfect snack and fun too.
Try this link to learn more about them.

Apples with dip

By using fat-free cream cheese instead of full-fat cream cheese, you save 143 calories and 19 grams of fat — most of which is saturated fat — in each serving.
SERVES 4

Ingredients:

8 ounces fat-free cream cheese

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

2 tablespoons chopped peanuts or pecans

1/2 cup orange juice(for apple slices)

4 apples, cored and sliced

Directions:
Place the cream cheese on the counter to allow it to soften about 5 minutes.

To make the dip, combine the brown sugar, vanilla

and cream cheese in a small bowl.

Mix until smooth.

Stir in the chopped peanuts.

Place the apples in another bowl.

Drizzle orange juice over the apples to prevent browning.

Serve the sliced apples with the dip.

OUR FAVORITE PETS

JOHN'S NOTABLE MUSIC

Recently John got new music. Granny Jeanne bought him 2 books Elton John and Billy Joel. He really liked the idea of playing a song that's on the radio. That is until he saw they were 5-9 pages long (yikes). Still he is going to try to play MY LIFE. He is also learning The Spinning Song. I often confuse the song with the theme from Charlie Brown (PEANUTS) which my son John you tubed to show me that it's not the same. All these sensative artists. He is a great guy I can't argue I am blessed with all my children.

THANK GOD EVERY DAY

Wake Up Prayer

Good Morning God,

in Heaven above.
Bless me now with all Your love.

Be by my side throughout the day,

at work, at school, at home, and play.

Help me do the things I'm told

so my parents won't have to scold.

Help me be a cheerful friend,

whose always ready to lend and bend.

Good morning, God. Help me to see

the beautiful world you've made for me!

GRANNY Baby's spot

Granny's have been very busy, Gina Has been sewing up a storm. First a new dress for Ally and a hat that was too small so we gave it to Connie. And now Connie has a dress to match. Granny Gina is a modest seamstress who does not think she should go public$. But she can sew! I never knew just how well. I am a little jealous, but then again she's sewing for my babies. I am very happy that she started sewing again and the girls are almost set for EASTER.
Another Granny is feeling a little better and is online again. She is not doing alot of art but she did start some computer art. We need to inspire her : )' JEANNE DRAW SOMETHING PRETTY! HE HE oh well you have talent no one can argue. Another Granny who won't go public$ She has to sketch my sister Rita's Boys. Casey and Joey need to sit and take a picture together that way Mom will only have to sketch 1 portrait. That will take care of her short attention span. How about it? Wish I could draw real things...oh well she got all the talent and I got her : )

WHATEVER You will always live in your own reality, so you might as well make it reality. I think this will be a new Homeschooling Bumper Sticker :: What do you THINK? no I'm not testing you it's just your opinion. HE HE HAW
